Papathoma Maria, Clinical Psychologist<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Maria Papathoma is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist. She graduated in 2015 from the Department of Social Policy at Panteion University and then continued her studies in the BSc Psychology program at the University of East London. She subsequently completed postgraduate studies (MSc) in Clinical and Community Psychology, and has also specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Center for Applied Psychotherapy and Counseling. <\/p>\n

As part of her scientific and professional training, she has attended numerous educational and professional development programs in the field of psychology and mental health. Indicatively, she has received training in Clinical Psychopathology through the First Department of Psychiatry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), the \u201cCostas Stefanis\u201d Research University Institute of Mental Health, Neurosciences and Precision Medicine (EPIPSY), as well as programs promoting knowledge in mental disorders. In addition, she has completed the post-academic training program \u201cSchool Psychology\u201d at the University of the Aegean, as well as the program \u201cAutism: Understanding, Education and Intervention\u201d at the University of Patras. <\/p>\n

She has worked in mental health settings in Greece, gaining clinical experience across a wide range of difficulties and disorders, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, challenges related to adolescence, behavioral difficulties in childhood, and more generally issues that may arise at different stages of life.<\/p>\n

In recent years, she has also worked with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disorders, with particular emphasis on individuals on the Autism Spectrum. At the same time, for the past five years, she has been working in school settings as a shadow support professional in both private and public contexts, mainly supporting children with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and intellectual disability. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
